Resumes are now being accepted. The application period will be open until May 15 th . Once closed, we will be contacting eligible applicants for interviews. The position is advertised for both skills in hopes to find someone who can do both, but if not, then certainly an applicant who has secretarial skills. So, we encourage those who may not meet the bookkeeping qualifications to apply also. Don’t forget, we have a Virtual Baptism class on Thursday, April 29 th at 6:00PM. So, we are in the process of looking for a new Secretary, possibly a ecretary/Bookkeeper. Our Thrift Store Manager, Lois Phipps, would like all of us to know that the Thrift Store is in desperate need of volunteers. Lois has had to close the store twice in the last two weeks because she had no one to fill in for a volunteer who was sick and not able to come in that day. Our Thrift Store needs people who are willing to COMMIT to work one day a week for four hours. Blessed Sacrament Thrift Store provides a service to our City as well as providing revenue for Blessed Sacrament Church. Please prayerfully consider giving of your time to help our Thrift Store remain open and provide revenue for our church. As we said last week, a big thank you to Beth Regland for offering to help with the Bulletin Board. We are still in search of a Secretary. Amy has finally accepted a job offer in DC and her last day here will be July 9th. We wish her well and much success at her new job. But, while she is still here, we hope someone will step up and apply. This will allow Amy to help in the interview process. The job listing is still posted on the Diocesan website under the Employment link. Feel free to also call the office at 760-367-3343 and speak with Amy if you have questions regarding the job description. Reopening Guidelines as of this weekend: Vaccinated people are no longer required to wear a mask, but it is suggested that those who are not vaccinated wear a mask. We are on the honor system. We no longer have a seating capacity, but we encourage a 3ft. distance. Singing by the Assembly is permitted. Confession will remain in the Hospitality room. Sanitizing after Mass will continue. We have a box of Missals by the front door. If you would like to have a Missal, please put your name on it, take it home, and carry it back and forth. Effective July 1 st , Bishop Rojas is lifting the Dispensation from the Sunday Mass and the Holy Days of Obligation that we have had since the beginning of the Pandemic in March of 2020. On July 1 st , Bishop Rojas isinviting all of the Catholic Faithful to return to Mass on Sundays and Holy Days in order to fulfill their Obligation to attend Mass. Welcome back home! Those who cannot attend Mass because of age (65 years and older) or disability will continue to be excused and encouraged to make Sundays Holy through personal prayer and/or viewing the televised Mass on EWTN. We’d also like you to know that Blessed Sacrament will STOP live streaming the Mass as of July 1 st , 2021. Elaine Ashfield is planning a Baptism Class on July 6th @ 6:00PM. USHERS: Second Collection for Retired Priests of our Diocese Thank you to Beth Regland for offering to help with the Bulletin Board. As you know our Secretary, Amy, is leaving soon and we are still looking for a replacement for her. If you are interested in this Secretarial position, please contact the office at 760-367-3343. Reopening Guidelines as of June 26 th and 27 th. The Guidelines for the wearing of masks during Mass will be lifted. There will no longer be a seating capacity, but we encourage a 3ft. distance. Singing by the Assembly will be permitted. Confession will remain in the Hospitality room. Sanitizing after Mass will continue. Carrying your Missal to and from Mass will continue. Bishop Rojas has announced that effective July 1 st , 2021 he will be issuing a Decree to lift the current dispensation from the Sunday Mass and the Holy Days of Obligation that we have had since the beginning of the Pandemic since March of 2020. On July 1st , Bishop Rojas is inviting all of the Catholic Faithful to return to Mass on Sundays and Holy Days in order to fulfill their Obligation to attend Mass. Welcome back home! Those who cannot attend Mass because of age (65 years and older) or disability will continue to be excused and encouraged to make Sundays Holy through personal prayer and/or viewing the televised Mass on EWTN. Blessed Sacrament will stop live streaming Mass as of July 1st , 2021. Our Thrift Store needs men as well as women who are willing to COMMIT to work one day a week for four hours. Blessed Sacrament Thrift Store provides a service to our City as well as providing revenue for Blessed Sacrament Church.
